Our guest this week is Mimi Sheller, Professor of Sociology at Drexel University. Mimi is a chief proponent of the new mobilities paradigm. As the name implies, the paradigm examines the mobilities of people, things and ideas, and places them within a social context. She is currently in Iceland to give a lecture on her new book, Mobility Justice: The Politics of Movement in an Age of Extremes, where she explores the possibilities of a new politics of movement with justice at its heart.
