The last podcast before Christmas break features Jason Beckfield, professor of Sociology at Harvard University and Guest Professor of Sociology at the University of Iceland. Jason´s research agenda has focused on inequality and his newest research project looks at how inequality relates to energy transition. He is a part of multidisciplinary research team, the Roosevelt Project, that highlights how individuals and communities are impacted by energy change.
Sigrun and Jason discuss the project and its main findings but also how and why sociology matters to understand and respond to the challenges we face regarding the environment in general and climate change in particular.
