This week´s podcast features Nadine Reibling who is the PI of a large research project about medicalization at the University of Siegen in Germany. Nadine completed her Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Mannheim in 2014, but Sigrun was a member of her dissertation committee. During her studies there, Nadine was a Harkness Fellow in Healthcare Policy and Practice at Harvard University, and she assumed her position at the University of Sigen after completing her studies. Her research has focused on health care systems and health inequalities, as well as medicalization. In the podcast, Nadine and Sigrun discuss her research in general, but also attempt to answer the difficult question of how the health care system matters for our health and especially for health inequalities.
